Mission Pools is an ultra high-end custom pool builder based out of Southern California. In tough economic times, however, even their target audience, which is generally well off financially, cuts back. When it comes to pools, this means opting for prefabricated shapes and lower grade materials, instead of the custom-made, gunite pools that Mission builds. The job? Reverse this trend by showing their target that there is really no pool quite like a MIssion pool. And no feeling like having a resort in your own backyard.

With an audience that was both older and wealthier than average, we were able to ceate something of a throwback campaign featuring landscape print ads (remember print?) in California, Arizona and Nevada lifestyle magazines. And with a few tweaks, this campaign is also tailor-made for 16:9 pause screen ads during select “peak TV” streaming shows.
