The job of the creative was two-fold. One, leverage the Game of Thrones-adjacent thematic in a way that would entice both fans of the HBO show and those who had never seen it. And two, clearly demonstrate how the game worked so that players immediately grapsed the new AR smartphone technology and how it functioned.
Despite the tech explanation hurdle, Game of Gold became THE best selling scratch off game in the state of Ohio during the year the it ran.
